When you think of the word 'ladders' it's quite easy to think of your box-standard step ladder, or a loft ladder. But have you ever considered the most famous ladders from around the world? Here are our three favourite famous ladders, and why they're so iconic...
1. The Putucusi Ladders
Macchu Picchu, Peru
If you fancy a hike up the Putucusi mountain, you'll first have to trek up this 30m wooden ladder that's nailed to the side of a mountain at a 70-degree angle!
2. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre
Christian Quarter, Old City of Jerusalem
The Church of the Holy Sepulchre supposedly contains the site of Jesus' death, as well as the site of his resurrection. A ladder sits below the church's entrance and has only been moved once since it was first recorded in the 1700s. No one really knows why it's there!
3. The Half Dome Cable Ladder
Yosemite Valley, California
You will find yourself at a slippery 45-degre angle for the last 400 feet of this iconic 15-mile climb, so be sure to watch your step and never attempt this route in poor weather conditions!
No matter your project, we have a ladder that suits your needs and your safety.
