Loft ladder sizes
Loft ladders come in many different sizes. Our most popular loft ladder sizes are:
- 1200mm x 700mm
- 1150mm x 550mm
- 1200mm x 600mm
- 510mm x 430mm
The above sizes use minimum opening length x minimum opening width.
There is no 'standard' loft ladder size, so you will need to select a ladder that fits your loft opening. The Dolle Hobby 1200 x 700 is our best-selling loft ladder, although the Easiway Loft Ladder may be preferable if you're short on space and need something more compact.
Before you install your loft steps, you will need to take these measurements:
- Floor-to-floor height
- Floor-to-ceiling height
- Hatch clearance
- Loft opening width / length
- Horizontal and vertical clearance
